Full course description
This course seeks to introduce the C3 inquiry framework while providing the resources necessary to make inquiry based instruction possible in the Social Studies classroom. Our course will explore the resources made available to teachers by local, national, and international historical sites and museums. We will then utilize those resources to develop an understanding of the C3 inquiry framework and the process with which to construct a classroom inquiry. Finally, we will use examples from the National Museum of the Marine Corps Teachers in Residence. By completing this course, teachers will be able to navigate museum resources to construct and implement inquiry based instruction in the Social Studies classroom.
